(KTTS News/Press Release) – A familiar group around Branson announced that they will be celebrating their 50th anniversary with a farewell tour.
The Oak Ridge Boys say that official tour dates for the American Made farewell tour have not been announced at this time.
“We are doing a farewell tour because we owe it to our fans to say goodbye,” shares William Lee Golden. “They have always been there for us through the good times and the bad. I will always be thankful to every person who came out to a show, bought a t-shirt, played our music, and overall, loved us enough to spend their hard-earned money whenever they could. This tour is for you!”
The Oak Ridge Boys have received four Academy of Country Music, two American Music, five Billboard, four Country Music Association, five Grammy, and twelve Gospel Music Association Dove awards, just to name a few.
They have achieved seventeen #1 hits.
They are members of the Grand Ole Opry, the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
The Oak Ridge boys are currently on tour, with a show tonight at The Mansion Theatre in Branson, and a show Friday in Jefferson City.

The Fishman Loudbox performer with Bluetooth® 4.0 Connectivity is the most powerful
acoustic amp from Fishman. It is 180 watts Bi-amplified with 2 Channels with 1/4” & XLR inputs
with dual effects with independent control. It also sports 3 D.I. outputs on each channel and main mix. Each channel includes Fishman’s renowned 3-band EQ, feedback-fighting controls, and a new effects section for more tonal options than ever before. It has a dedicated midrange driver
that provides enhanced detail and note definition over conventional 2-way designs. An
improved, integrated kickstand design allows the Loudbox Performer to be tilted back 50º for better sound projection at short range.
I have tested and played many acoustic amps for guitars, but the Fishman amps are also the
best choice for many other acoustic instruments like fiddle, banjo and dobro. It will handle just about anything, in my opinion, with its instrument and mic channels. It has a combination of
1/4” & XLR inputs with shelving bass and treble and resonant-style midrange with notch filter and feedback control. I also love the input gain with 10dB pad and clip indicator. It can also be used with condenser mics, and it has 24-Volt phantom power.
I also love the Reverbs and Delay effects level and Chorus, Flanger and Slap Echo on/off are great! The Phase switch (feedback control) dedicated effects loop are a plus as well. The Fishman Loudbox can be used in any venue and can compete with a full rock band on stage with its 180 watts of transparent, bi-amplified tone via a state-of-the-art 3-way speaker system. It is just amazing! It makes instrument sound like YOUR instrument, and that is a big thing when it comes to acoustic amps. This amp delivers what ever sound you are going for.
The EQ section gives you the ability to dial in any kind of tone you need. The Loudbox Performer sports a tan/brown motif that looks great and complements acoustic instruments better than black. To sum up my review I can honestly say there is no other acoustic amp that can come close to the Fishman Loudbox performer in its price range. It has a prestine sound. Any of the Fishman line of acoustic amps are top notch. Thank you Fishman for building such great acoustic amps.
